Ten Ways to Protect Your Clients' Digital Assets

    Presented By:    Betsy L. Ehrenberg
    1 hour CFP CE approved

Our lives have been turned upside down; our business community has changed.  We have been sheltering in place, keeping some distance from loved ones, caregivers and financial institutions. This has provided ample opportunities for fraudsters to ramp up their activity and perfect the art of stealing an identity.

Financial risks have risen from the pervasive electronic fraud that is now extant in the virtual and digital age. One important issue to discuss with clients is Protecting Digital Assets.  People worked hard to build their wealth. We show how technology can protect it. During this presentation you will:

    1. Identify digital assets and access protocols that create postmortem roadblocks.
    1. Learn ways to assemble and organize electronic records for data and document access.
    1. Learn strategies to motivate clients during estate planning and financial review.

Ms. Ehrenberg is a specialist in the area of forensic digital asset protection, application security, custodian protocols, RUFADAA legislation and identity theft remediation.  She presents both nationwide and internationally.  She has written over 100 articles and has worked with hundreds of digital asset custodians in both government and technology organizations.

Ms. Ehrenberg is the author of “Ten Ways to Protect Your Clients Digital Assets,” a bi-monthly report on digital asset management and abandoned asset recovery from insurance carriers, “Password Management – Best Practices,” a periodic blog available to individuals and trade journals, and the “Custodian Carrier Conundrum,” for the personal representatives and family historians. Invited author for Worldwide Family Office Magazine and InterActive Legal Systems technical blog.
